I bought myself a Canik TP9SA. I own several rifles and shotguns but this is my first hand gun. Right out of the box I have ran into an issue.
Familiarizing myself with the Canik was my first priority. My first responsibility was to learn everything about it to use and handle it safely.
I read the manual cover to cover and this firearm has a lot of features that was new me especially the decocker.
So I naturally I broke it down to inspect it and them reassembled it. That was easy and straightforward, so I did it again.
Out of curiosity wanted to see the slide action work without the spring and barrel being
installed inside of it. I slide it back and forth an observed all the movements inside.
Now my issue is that I cannot remove the slide from the lower half of the gun using the removal method. The manual did not mention
not to do this nor, did contain information about what to do if it's done. I have searched online everywhere and have had no success.
Has anyone else done this? Is there a simple solution to this? Or will I have to take it to a gunsmith.
I feel disappointed it's never seen a round.
