i own a mete sf that runs very well and a rival sfx that... well, not so much...

joined to discuss my sick rival... this looks like a fairly new site so information is minimal but I’m pretty sure that will change as these great pistols are becoming very popular...

I’ve been active in many shooting games as well as spending a load of time and resources on hunting and wildlife habitat... have several nra certificates for safety, self defense, etc. but no longer teach anything for several reasons, not the least of which is the time commitment...

recently, I’ve started collecting the great pistols of the long forgotten game of metallic silhouette shooting... too bad that game has been forgotten, a lot of great guns and cartridges came out of it...

mostly, i'm interested in the dan wessons, especially the super mags and the merrill pistols... i shot pretty much shot all classes from pellet gun to unlimited big bore... the pellet matches were 100% un-sanctioned, back yard affairs, w/ barbeque and adult beverages, everything else was under ihmsa or nra rules...

Dan Wesson pistol are very nice, but ridiculously expensive. I owned one a few decades ago when they were not waaay overpriced. However, the basis for any pistol should be fit, function, accuracy and reliability, and CANIK gives us all that for 20% of the cost of the Dan Wesson. If you just want to spend a lot of money, try the CANiK TTI Combat 9mm, just under $!K.
