What optic are you running on your Canik?

I finally picked up an optics-ready METE and trying to figure out the dot situation before I commit. The Holosun 507C seems like the crowd favorite and I get why, the price to performance is hard to beat. But I've also been looking at the Trijicon SRO which seems like a better competition optic specifically. For those who've mounted something on their Canik, how's the co-witness with your irons? And have you had any issues with the mounting plate or zero shift over time? I want to buy this once and not revisit it

The 507C is probably the safest all-around choice but that huge SRO window is addictive once you try it. If you lean more range and competition than carry, I totally get the temptation.

I am retired and on a fixed income, so I see how much I can get for as little money as possible on pistol accessories. $115 is about my limit. Both my CANIK's have Wolf Covert 4- reticle green circle dot optics, which work just fine, Brilliant optics, VG battery life, and they hold zero tightly when adjusted to my bore sight at 20yds. I am the same way with my firearms... generally $600 is my top spending level, and they are all functionally excellent and accurate.

My METE SFX runs a Holosun 507Comp and it’s been fantastic. The co-witness sits low but works fine and the factory plate hasn’t shifted after 4,000 rounds.

Hi Sleeem - I recently got the SFT Loadout that came with the Mecanik MO1 and all the hardware to mount it. I like it - one of the nicest shooters I have - just wish it was green. But no complaints really

On my METE SFT, I run a Holosun 507Comp, and once I set that up, I kind of stopped worrying about optics altogether. After putting around 3,000 rounds through it, zero hasn’t budged at all.

Got my SFT as the Loadout package. Came with the Mecanik MO1. Put it on, zeroed it in and has been running fine for a year now. Great gun, probably one of the best I own except for the soft trigger reset

Nice setup! A year of trouble-free use says a lot. I’ve heard similar comments about the trigger reset but overall the SFT seems to get a lot right.

Yeah Alan - I was one wgo was complaining about the trigger and I still haven't found any solution. Canik doesn't seem very willing to get involved telling me "Oh thats normal" but I it really does not feel right. Going to try and find a gunsmith close by. The gun shoots awesome as far as hand feel and accuracy but with that soft reset on the trigger it sits in the safe a lot

Just an update - Canik FINALLY sent me an RAN and shipping label and the SFT is on it's way back to see if they can take care of the issue - will update

My favorite optic is the Holosun with the ACSS Reticle. Have been using them since they first came out. Three HS507C-X2 and one HE509-RD-ACSS.
