My new MC9LS has a very heavy recoil spring and I've been looking for a way to break it in, but other than shooting a few hundred 124 grain loads and leaving the slide locked back most of the time I haven't seen any other suggestions. I did note that on one forum several users were trying out recoil springs from other guns so I looked at the pistols I have and discovered that the recoil spring from a Glock 30, gen 3, fits the MC9Ls perfectly and is not quite as heavy.

Honestly, the best break-in method is ammo therapy, let it eat and it'll loosen its grip.

Get out and shoot it and let us know if that fix works for you!(y)
