Found a decent trigger installation video and installed my Freedomsmith trigger yesterday. No problems there. It came apart with no trouble and went back together just fine....UNTIL...
When trying to re-install the slide lock levers, I absolutely could not get the right side lever to accept the left side. It had tapped out just fine. I tried and tried with no success. I watched and re-watched the video and that one just popped right into place. I finally pulled both to see what the problem was, and to my amazement, the "cross" on the left side was too large for the right side to accept. Now it tapped out so easily in the beginning that I thought it would go back in the same way. NOT SO. How anyone ever even fit that part in remains a mystery to me. I finally gave up, and left the right side off as I don't need it anyway, being a righty.
Has anybody ever encountered this and if so, did you solve it and what's the secret? Apparently I'm not holding my nose right....
