Canik TP9SFX mags dropping while shooting

Help! I’m borrowing my brother's Canik TP9SFX (he told me not to break it!), but I’ve hit a snag. After a couple of rounds, the magazine just drops right out.
At first, I thought I was bumping the mag release during recoil, but I tried shooting one-handed with my fingers nowhere near the button and it still happened.

Is this a common issue with the mag catch, or should I just take it straight to a gunsmith?
Any ideas how to fix this? I hope I don't have to tell my brother about this

On a Canik TP9SFX, a mag dropping mid string is a stop and check situation. Clear it safe first, then try a different magazine if you have one and see if it repeats. If it happens with multiple mags and with your hands nowhere near the button, I would pause shooting it and have your brother check it with a shop or the service route.

My guess is the slide release spring is installed wrong, or whoever had it before you messed something up when switching the mag release to the other side.

Definitely need to double-check that assembly

Before doing anything else-are you positive you got the mags fully seated? The flush mags take a bit of effort, especially when new, before the springs are broken in. And if you use the mag well, they are somewhat recessed. I had an issue with one of mine once or twice. Especially when loading with the slide forward.
