Upgrade Red Dot

I bought a TP9 Elite SC last year that came with the Shield SMS-2.
I was wondering, with the compact size, I could put an Olight optic with a bigger dot, which I can get in either red or green.
And would this fit the mount on my slide?

Definitely can, but make sure you grab the Olight Osight K or Osight SE
Both of those use the RMSc footprint, so they’ll bolt directly onto your Elite SC slide using the same mounting points as your Shield SMS-2.

Avoid the Osight C or XR models, those use the larger RMR footprint and won't fit without an adapter plate that might sit too high

@Randycan59 One thing to watch out for is that the Elite SC slide has a very flat optic cut. I find that mounting an optic directly on the slide puts all the recoil stress on the two tiny screws because the slide doesn't have recoil lugs.

If you find your zero shifting after a few hundred rounds, look into a thin Calculated Kinetics plate. It adds those lugs back in and makes the whole setup much more duty rated

I am currently running an O Sight SE on my Girsan Witness 2311 Brat, & an O Sight C on my Canik Rival SFX (Poly). The SE closed emitter is great for EDC CC & the larger window helps my aging eyesight. I elected the O Sight C model for the Canik Rival SFX (Poly) wanting to establish a 1/3 Co-Witness, as I train with irons only as well. For the quality & price there is no beating O Sight. I elected my new Canik Mete MC9 Prime with its included MO4 optic keeping it all Canik & getting the benefits of a closed emitter as well. Never had any issues with sight movement, but believe in using US made screws only, applying blue Loctite, & torquing screws to 14-inch lbs. I have purchased US threaded screws from Battle Worx to replace cheap problematic screws from China. KG.
